We got this for our 20month old in hopes he can ride alongside his sister when we go for walks around the lake. But I find myself way behind tending to him-he gets frustrated because the bike is EXTREMELY slow and he rather walk because he gets where he needs to go faster. He did not complain of having to assemble the product too much. The decorative decals tend to peel off where the child saddles the seat (right below the seat on either side), but the quad would look just as good without the decals.
