I purchased the Barbie Mermaid Falls bath toy for my daughter who just turned 2. She really lit up when she saw this in the bathtub and she plays with it each time she takes a bath. the first one i purchased however was defective so i exchanged it and the second one works just fine. one mine the little lever you push to shower the barbie wasnt working, but its fine now. even my 5yo son will help my daughter play with it and encourage her to do all the little things that can be done. some people say their slide falls off, i have nt had that problem nor any others. both my kids like it and i feel it was worth the money.

I bought this at [...] for HALF of what Amazon is asking. It is the same exact toy. So far so good – my little girl is thrilled with the toy. I hope it lasts.

This toy could be fabulous. All the ideas are there. But it falls apart and has done so in the first FIVE MIN of play. The swing doesn’t stay attached, the slide won’t stay on, and the suction cups are too weak to sustain the toy. We have had other tub toys that suction onto our tub just fine. This one is terrible. I am so frustrated that I spent the $$$ for this and have to keep trying to put it together for my 4-year-old. If it just DID WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED to I would give it five stars. Don’t bother buying it. My kids (4, 7, and 9) all like it and play with it differently, but it is NOT WORTH the price. Why can’t we get quality?? So disappointing.

We bought this toy for our daughter’s fourth birthday. She and her sister were so excited. Well, we couldn’t get the slide to snap in – we tried several times and various ways. Finally, we duct taped it on because the girls wanted to play with it so badly. The chair doesn’t hold a full size Barbie mermaid like in the picture. The chair holders just fall off, and it is tilted such that a full size doll falls out. Finally, the suction cups didn’t work on our tile. It fell off the wall 4 times within 10 minutes. We gave up on it at that point.

This toy was a waste of our money and time.

The toy was pretty and appealing to my three-year old daughter’s eye, and that’s as far as the positives go.

When playing with the toy dry, a Barbie can sit in the swing. Once the toy is attached to a bathtub wall, the Barbie can no longer sit in the swing, but always falls out. What’s worse is that once you place water into the toy, the weight of the water causes it to slip down the wall and fall into the water! I had to constantly hold the toy up for my daughter to play with it. There is also a shower pump which requires a certain amount of pressure to move, pressure which causes the whole toy to slip down into the water again!

In addition, the toy is flimsy. The swing easily comes apart from it’s little hooks, and a flower easily comes off.

Could Mattel have really tested this piece of junk? It’s a rip-off and we’re taking the toy back to the store!
