This is a definate must-read for anyone and everyone who has kids or who might have and/or want kids. Even if you had or think you had a great childhood, this book has vital information for helping to understand the reason behind your own and the kid's behaviors. I am half-way through this book and already know I will read this book over and over. Rating: 5 / 5 This book is EXCELLENT! I have learned SO MUCH about myself and my kids through this book. I was able to put a finger on the fact that my life's foundation was based on denial and discounting, a topic that the book touched on a lot. <br /> <br />The chapter on "Ages and Stages" is definitely an eye opener and you can relate a lot of experiences from it. <br /> <br />It's a must read for everyone. She did a workshop at church that not only helped me heal things in myself, it also taught me healthy ways to parent. In the uneven parenting I received I was able to use this book as the basis for doing better for my children. I picked up this second addition to have on hand in my pastoral library.
