My daughter has a few of the other mermaids in this collection — the flipper part of the tail on the blue one always falls off.. this one seems to be holding up great. The only drawback is that my daughter(4.5) has so much fun playing with all the “girls” that she doesn’t want to get out of the tub!

My 3 and 4 year old daughters LOVE this doll!! It quickly became a must-have at bath time. But the tail broke at one of the moveable joints on one of the dolls after just 2 days. Can’t say for certain if the doll was cheaply made or if my daughter had too much fun at the doll’s expense. Very little educational value, but the imagination value seems priceless!

My 4 year old daughter received two of these dolls for Christmas and I don’t know if she is just too young to be playing with them,but she managed to break the fins off the tail on BOTH dolls! She really enjoyed playing with them for the short time she had them though. I just feel bad that $30 was invested into something she won’t be playing with anymore.=(

The scales at the joint where the body meets the hips acts as grip-teeth and will VERY easily pinch fingers if your finger is at that place when moving the body. I pinched my finger just minutes after opening the package; my 3yr old could very easily get a serious pinch. Going to return it.
